A Few Recent Sites From My Portfolio

Here are a couple of recent sites from my portfolio. I also work with several creative agencies of which I have signed non-disclosure agreements with and am therefore not able to show much of my work here.

WARD

Wharfedale & Airedale Review Development (WARD) is an ‘umbrella’ community support group. It has been set up to express the common concerns and interests with spatial planning, of the many community organisations, residents associations, parish and town councils in the Dales of the Mid-Aire and Lower-Wharfe. Planning legislation is currently heavily weighted in favour of developers, and against local residents who know what is best suited to their own localities. WARD seek to use the powers of the Localism Bill and the National Planning Policy Framework to redress the balance for the benefit of all. Phase 1 of the project was to re-build their existing website using WordPress to keep residents informed of the latest developments, encourage interaction and debate with visitors, facilitate content contribution from WARD committee members, the addition of a gallery and library section as well as integration with social media.

O’ Hearne Consultants

Established for over 30 years, O’Hearne Consultants are a family run partnership involved in the Ilkley, Wharfe Valley, Bradford and surrounding districts’ property market. O’Hearne Consultants specialise in commercial property agency and professional services, working on behalf of many clients to provide professional advice on surveys, valuations for private clients, bank lending and probate as well as development and compulsory purchase compensation. They provide a complete service backed up by a wealth of experience and expertise including Commercial Property Sales, Commercial Property Lettings, Energy Performance Certificates, Acquisitions, Valuations & Surveys.

Our job was to rebuild their website using modern coding techniques, enable them to list and manage their property portfolio and integrate the site with social media.

Monkey Press

MONKEY PRESS was founded in 1987 to promote a deeper understanding of classical Chinese medicine. It takes its name from the Monkey King in ‘Journey to the West’, the 16th century novel by Wu Chengen. They publish a series of books “Chinese Medicine From the Classics”, the aim of which is to familiarize the reader with the original medical and philosophical texts which form the foundation of Chinese medicine. The books are based on the work of Claude Larre and Elisabeth Rochat de la Vallée.

Expose was asked to replace their outdated ASP-driven website with a clean, minimalist site that could be easily updated by the client.

Wallis Heating & Plumbing

Wallis Heating & Plumbing are a family run business specialising in repairs, maintenance and installation of domestic gas, plumbing and heating systems. They also specialise in power flushing of radiators and drains, undertake general decorating work such as painting, plastering, tiling; household appliance installation; bathroom/toilet/kitchen renovations. For heating and plumbing in Hertfordshire contact Wallis Heating & Plumbing Ltd.

HATC

HATC Ltd is one of the longest-established consultancies specialising in affordable housing. Set up by Andrew Drury in 1994, we work for housing associations, ALMOs, councils, government agencies, trade and professional bodies as well as private developers in both residential and retail sectors. Website rebuilt from the ground up by Expose Design using WordPress.

PJ Equine Services

PJ Equine Services design and construct custom horse boxes and are experts in the safe transportation of horses. Based In Pool In Wharfedale, Paul Johnson offers a highly qualified and professional service which has become recognised over the years with many customers returning time after time…

Everything For Signs

Everything For Signs is your one stop digital shop for wide format printers: Solvent, Eco-solvent, UV Flatbed, Aqueous and HP Latex. A vast Online shop specialising in wide format media from Xerox, Inktec, Metamark. EFS also offer competitive printer breakdown cover and warrantees. The site was built using WordPress with an e-commerce plugin for the shop section.

We built them a smart new website using WordPress to take their Online business to the next level!

Chevin Technology

A high tech electronic firm based in Menston, UK Chevin Technology offers design and consultancy services in the areas of digital communications and embedded systems. Their expertise include system integration, digital communications, signal processing, imaging systems, FPGA programming and embedded software.

Kearns Properties

Kearns Properties are a property investment and development business with expertise in commercial property but specializing in retail. Based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire with activities are nationwide Kearns have an established track record of acquiring sites for development/ refurbishment in order to create modern flexible space for retail and other occupiers.

Kool Kids

A website selling fantastic designer label clothing for kids, Expose have rebuilt their existing website from the ground up and added on an e-commerce application using OpenCart to provide a simple yet powerful shopping cart solution.

Melanie Craig Solicitor

Melanie Craig Solicitor – Family Law Experts. Our client wanted a brand new web solution, a professional looking modern site that was easy to update. We chose WordPress as the application of choice for this project. Based in Leeds, the firm acts for clients in the UK and worldwide, advising on all areas of family law.

Buffalo Solutions

IT and technology firm based in Harrogate, West Yorkshire. Expose built them a state of the art web presence using Joomla CMS and the K2 CMS extension.

Recorder Music Mail

Our task was to take an old Actinic based e-commerce site and completely redesign and re-develop it into a modern and easy to use website using Actinic 10. We also streamlined the backend administration; improve SEO results and integrate a new payment gateway.

Ashlands Veterinary Centre And Animal Hospital

Expose Design built a state-of-the-art Joomla Content Management System for our clients Ashlands Veterinary Centre & Animal Hospital, to service their surgeries in Ilkley and Glusburn, West Yorkshire.

LAF Online

A complete overhaul and rebuild of a Joomla 1.0 powered website. The original site had been hacked numerous times over the years (showing the importance of keeping software up to date!) and the code was deemed ‘beyond repair’. Our solution was to extract all the content, clean it up, install a brand new Joomla 1.5.20 environment and perform updates & migrations to the many components, modules and plugins used throughout the site.

Elite Gardening

An e-commerce webshop specialising in Online retail of the Laura Ashley gardening range. Built using Actinic 10 E-commerce software.

Housing Mental Heath – Yorkshire & Humberside

A new website for Housing Mental Heath – Yorkshire & Humberside, a government initiative catering for mental health patients, support workers and proffessional staff. We used Joomla together with the amazing K2 component to produce a intelligent, flexible and informative website.

MKI Photo

Minimalist photographic gallery site using Slideshow Pro Director with Adobe Flash frontend and Mootools Javascript framework for effects.

Calderdale SmartSearch

Calderdale SmartSearch is an Online learning directory for adult learning opportunities in the Calderdale area. The project was initiated by Calderdale SmartMove, a charity that helps homeless or potentially homeless people within Calderdale. The contents of the site has been researched and developed by clients and volunteers from SmartMove and is now a service for the whole community to use.

Jonathan Carey Design

Our client needed a stunning looking website to showcase their interior design portfolio. Built using Slideshow Director for management of media assets, xhtml and Flash frontend and using the Jquery javascript library for effects.

The Debt Dissolver

The Debt Dissolver specialises in identifying and resolving personal debt problems. Their team has in excess of 20 years experience of helping people with their finances. Through a Debt Management Plan (DMP) they negotiate with unsecured creditors with the aim of reducing monthly payments to an affordable amount.
